Is it a requirement to wear PPE?
The requirement for having personal protection and clothing depends on the job you are doing. For example, cutting materials such as hardwood could cause some dust to go into the eyes. Wearing some eye protection will help protect your eyes against any dust that would be formed. Furthermore, when using cutting tools, it is usually advised to use safety goggles, safety gloves and hearing protection for your health and safety. Whilst using grooving blades it would be advised to look at the manufacturer's guide for information on the applications suitable for the grooving blade, based on this you will be able to determine whether you would need PPE for the job that you would be doing.
