Why Desk Mats?

Desk mats are designed to protect your desktop/worktop surface from damage such as scuffing, glue, paint or sharp objects. They usually have a non-slip backing so the mat stays in place on the desktop.

Desk Mat Types

Desk mats are available in a range of sizes to suit your needs, but there are a variety of desk mats to make the protection more personal.

• Desk Mat For use within the office or home to prevent damage to desktop. There are a variety available - a plain protector, a protector with a clear overlay to put documents underneath but keep visible or a protector with additional extras such as notepads or calendars for office organisation.

• Cutting Mat For use in a workshop or by hobby enthusiasts to be used with cutting tools such as a scalpel or craft knife. The surface closes after the blade has cut it leaving a consistently smooth surface. Usually has a grid for measuring printed on one side.

Do cutting mats repair themselves?

Cutting mats are designed to take a lot of cutting damage and wear and still repair themselves. More well-known branded mats will perform better as they have better technology and manufacturing skills that some cheaper, unbranded cutting mats.
